First Post!

As of today I'm officially starting my weekly blog. The blog didn't get started until my last semester in Automotive but it will continue through the Diesel years. I don't really know much of anything as I have no experience but I have learned more than I thought I could over the past 2 years. I can't wait to make it out of college and into a profession I can actually enjoy.

In our air conditioning class we started going over the basics of the HVAC system. Starting with the diagram we went over every component and learned how each part helps the other. Afterwards we were assigned vehicles and instructed to remove the thermostat.

My group was assigned an old Dodge, that didn't want to start. We tried old jumper cables that wouldn't find solid connections so we had to get the newer set. With the newer set working, we got the truck started and found the charging system isn't operating and the truck won't stay running without the donor vehicle.

So Principles of Air Conditioning class turned into Electrical Components I took my first semester.

  1. Excellent post, Dalton! Ahh, the challenges of working with "sick cars." Looking forward to hearing your "voice" on this blog.
