Engine teardown and kingpins
Had a class similar to this in my auto years. We are given an engine and we get to tear it down to the block and rebuild it. It really helps me understand the inner workings of an engine and help visualize things when problems arise.
We exposed the valvetrain. An interesting thing to note is the injectors are also ran by the camshaft and not electronically activated.
Due to the weather our last class hasn't been for a while. The last thing my team did was start to expose the timing gears but unfortunately we did not get far.
I neglected to take photos during this procedure but in the chassis class we removed kingpins from the red cascadia. This is my first time being around kingpins. Working on a 79 ford exposed me to them and my friend Austin explained how it all works but we never changed them
